Hello!
My name is Gabriele M. L. Ferrara, and I am the artist behind SkullaGabe.
I'm an illustrator and visual designer who transforms ideas into compelling imagery. My work is a continuous exploration of how we perceive the world, using shape and color to create art that is suggested rather than drawn.
Background
My artistic journey began as a self-taught digital artist. After gaining practical experience as a graphic designer, I decided to formalize my skills. I trained at the SUPER - Scuola Superiore d'Arte Applicata del Castello Sforzesco then I earned a diploma as an illustrator at the IED Milano. This foundation allows me to apply established principles to every project, ensuring my work is not just visually appealing but also conceptually sound.
I thrive on the challenge of translating a concept—whether it's a brand's vision or a client's request—into a powerful visual narrative.
Beyond the name
While my name, "SkullaGabe," hints at a past focus on skulls, my work has since expanded to explore a wide range of themes. Still, the skull remains a fun, hidden signature in many of my pieces—a small, playful element for you to discover. Each illustration is a deliberate mix of bold simplicity and subtle complexity, designed to surprise and delight.
Let's Work Together
I'm always open to new collaborations and projects. If you have an idea you'd like to bring to life, feel free to reach out to me by email or social media.
